Longer holds of passive and relaxing poses that reach deeply into the joints and connective tissue for an amazing yoga experience. Yin yoga is a quiet and restorative practice suitable for students of all levels of experience. Through the practice of long held postures you are guided and invited to slow down and create space for stillness while nourishing joints, ligaments, tendons and fascia. In a busy world of yang activity we remember how to stop, how to be here and how to let go.
The system of Ashtanga Yoga is often called Classical Yoga. Using the first or primary series of asana or poses it is intended to realign the spine, detoxify the body, and build strength, flexibility, and stamina. We begin with sun salutations and move on to standing poses, seated poses, inversions, and backbends before relaxation. Great for complete beginners and beyond. I TEACH THIS ON A ONE TO ONE BASIS.
